What is the BHA

The British Hapkido Association (BHA) began life in the mid 1980's as the English Hapkido Association.

In 1994 the name was updated to allow affiliation of clubs from other U.K. countries.

Since that time the BHA has grown and through its founder, Master Michael K. Barron, 6th dan, is now recognised as the official UK representative for the Korea Hapkido Federation, the world's premier hapkido organisation.

The BHA is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation with cooperation and communication with other like minded hapkido practitioners as one of its main aims.  It was formed to allow groups and clubs in the U.K. to join a bona-fide hapkido association and to get membership and insurance inexpensively.

The BHA is now open for affiliation to eligible hapkido clubs and groups in the U.K.
